Anna Sui’s previous fall show (2009) was a paean to the demimondaine art of 1890s Paris & designer YSL’s country seat (decorated according to Marcel Proust’s novel, Remembrance of Things Past). Ms. Sui’s inspiration garnered a collection fit for a courtesan’s boudoir (rich chintz prints) tempered with Rive Droite propriety (a darkly saturated palette).
