I wish I could say this outfit is as comfy as it is cute. You know those pants that are just a smidge too small and squeeze ya round the tum tum? MMhmm, sistah. These would most def fall into that category. But I liked where they fit everywhere else, so decided it was a price I could pay. And… they didn’t have a size up. Anyway, oh my heavens how I have resisted pairing anything flouncy with bell bottoms. I always thought that if you have anything flouncy on the bottom you can’t have anything flouncy on the top. But I threw this on and it just worked. I realized it might be because of 2 things. 1) The bell bottoms, though flouncy on the bottom, of course, are quite tailored around the hips and legs all the way to the upper calf, and 2) the flouncy of flouncy tops gathers and cinches on the bottom. So there ya have it. A perfectly good explanation for why this look is one of my personal faves.
